I MUST GO MYSELF
But then, something happens.
Isn't that life. We are where we think we should be and then, all of a sudden, our circumstances change and we have to decide what to do.
Her family was threatened by an outsider. She thinks she knows who it is, but not for sure. She could have sent a servant to find out. But, she realizes only she will be able to tell.
As a mom, I can relate to her so well. We try so hard to be there for all of our children until they don't need us anymore. Then, we are left to figure out where we need to be.
She can't even discuss this with her husband. He has left her in charge. So, she gets to decide - stay with her son, Bran, by his bedside or go find out what danger lies ahead for her family.
She decides to go. I bet there are a lot of women who would judge her decision to leave while Bran is still so sick.
Life is about decisions. And, I think the biggest point here is once you have made a decision, you need to be all in.
Second guessing will only result in nothing really getting accomplished.
When I read her words, I got chills.
I can remember so many times while raising six children, some of them on my own, where I was faced with a decision on where I needed to be.
None of these times were as dramatic as hers, but they were still tough decisions.
Looking back, the ones I second-guessed turned out horrible. But the ones where I was committed no matter what anyone said, turned out for the best.
She trusts her instincts here - And so should we.
When we feel like going is the only option -- GO!
