Children coming forth today have a greater capacity to deal with the greater variety of information that is coming forward than you did. They deliberately are coming forth into this environment where there is more to contemplate. This generation gap that you are talking about, it has ever been thus. Each new generation, every new individual, that comes forth, is coming with you having prepared a different platform for them to proceed from. There is this thing that gets in the way of that that says, "I'm the parent. I got here first. I know more than you do." From the children's perspective, and from the purity of their Nonphysical Perspective, what they are saying is, "You're the parent. You got here first. You prepared a platform that I am leaping off from — and my leap will be beyond anything that you have ever known."
(The following words are paraphrased from their original author, Mark Nepo. I've added a few of my own, too). Since it is true that, before I can be who I'm meant to be, I must accept who I am not, I will work today on letting go of the grand fantasies of the ego in me.
These fantasies take me out of my natural state - the divine being that I am - and, instead, make me work till my soul is weary at becoming famous instead of loving, known instead of kind, enviable instead of compassionate, successful instead of serene...you instead of me.
No matter what I may do or accomplish, the enhanced feeling is short-lived whenever what I've done or accomplished has been driven by ego. I can arrive at a new place or reach a new summit but, alas, it turns out to be less than I expected. I know better. I've learned that, when I seek something to enhance my sense of worth, I always come up short. When I seek to be who I am not, I cannot be who I am. It is madness.
Today, I will be more sane...more conscious...I will be more aware of my ego-prompted thoughts (and they are many), my actions, too, as well as my motivations. I will pause frequently today and ask myself, "Who are you right now in this situation? Someone looking for affirmation...recognition...applause?" Then, I will affirm who I am...just as I am. I will be free of the madness of thinking I must do anything more than BE who I am NOW.
This is salvation...enlightenment...awakening. This is the secret of happiness...the joy of BEING beyond all doing.
“I’m not in this world to live up to your expectations and you’re not in this world to live up to mine.”
~ Bruce Lee
The divine source of all life is the fulfillment of all potential.
I believe that the divine energy of universal intelligence is guiding me now.
I believe that the divine source of universal supply is fulfilling my every need now.
I know what the Divine knows.
I have what the Divine owns.
I am what the Divine is.
I know this to be the truth of my being.
I accept this to be the truth as the will of the Divine.
I trust the one Life, one Mind, one Power, one Presence to manifest at its fullest potential and fulfill every desired good in my heart.
I am so grateful for the knowledge of this truth as it unfolds.
And So It Is!!!
HONOR THE DIVINE WITH PRAYER
Call forth the Divine within as the strength you need in order to do what you know you must do. If you must make a decision, call forth the Divine. If you must resolve a conflict, call forth the Divine. If you need healing, financial supply, strength, or wisdom, call forth the Divine. Know that what you need already exists within you, and perhaps you simply are not aware of its existence around you. Call forth the Divine within not so that you can get something, rather so that you can realize something. Call forth the Divine, not by begging or pleading, rather with trust that when you call It will show up. Call forth the Divine not because you don't know what else to do, rather because you know what to do and need the spiritual strength to do it. Prayer is a calling forth of the Divine that results in your mind, body, and spirit being brought into alignment with exactly what you need in any given moment.
Your emotions are the key as to whether you are allowing your awareness of that existence, presence and attention or not.
